Fantasy Basketball Trade Calculator: 9-Cat

Put a trade in and see who wins it. Every player is priced on his rest-of-season value in your categories, and the calculator knows that two good players are not always worth one great one.

What you get

  • Priced on the nightly engine

The same season values that order the rankings, so the calculator moves when an injury or a role change moves a player.

  • Two-for-one trades, done right

The side taking on extra players pays for the roster spots they fill, so depth cannot fleece a star by adding up.

  • Sized to your league

Set teams, starters and bench, and the waiver line, and every value with it, moves to match.

  • Your categories

Custom categories and weights carry over from the rankings, so the trade is judged on the league you play in.

  • Totals you can follow

Each side reads as a ledger, players in and roster spots out, so you can see exactly why one side comes out ahead.

  • Post it as a Discord poll

Send any trade to the FBI Discord as a live poll, your side or theirs, and let the room argue it out.

Questions

How does the trade calculator value players?

Each player is worth his rest-of-season value above a waiver pickup in your league. Each side’s total is its players minus the roster spots it has to open.

Why does a 2-for-1 trade not just add up?

Because the side taking the extra player has to cut someone to make room. The calculator charges that roster spot, which is why a star usually beats two lesser players.

Is there a dynasty trade calculator?

Yes, with rookie draft picks and a salary mode for real-salary leagues.
